La Merced de Campo, when you open the bag, gives off a subtle green grass scent with a hint of tangy fruit. After brewing, the aroma softens, resembling roasted grains, hay, with a touch of woodiness. There’s no smoky scent at all.
From the first sip, you can immediately feel the smoothness and balance. It has earthy and grassy notes, along with a light woody sweetness. It's not as sweet as Playadito or as strong as Rosamonte. It strikes a perfect balance, making it suitable for both newcomers and regular drinkers.
The aftertaste is light and smooth, with a slight sweetness lingering at the tip of the tongue. The mild tea flavor stays in your mouth for just a short while, making it easy to sip continuously with almost no bitterness.
It is a classic Argentine-style yerba mate with a balanced mix of medium-sized leaves and stems. The amount of dust is just right. Most of the leaves are green, with some lighter tones scattered throughout. The stems go through a drying process and are aged for 12 months, which enhances the smoothness of the flavor. The medium-sized stems blend perfectly, making the taste more mellow.
